Hoshi Dango

"Can you make the dango into little stars?"

While Tsubomi is too stubborn to admit it, there are parts of Tanabata that Tsubomi likes, such as food or looking at the stars.

I'm not particularly happy with the end result. I got sloppy with the coloring and rushed it and I should have chosen a different color for the background in panels 3-5. It all ended up too brown. I should have put more focus on the dango itself in the last panel to clarify the punchline. I'm slowly making progress with Tsubomi's feathers. Also, this is the last time I'm drawing that yukata; my hand cramped up when I finished inking it.

Dango is a Japanese sweet/dumpling made from rice flower. It is frequently served on a skewer.
